See over 600 free flying swans with Mass feeding at 12 noon and 4pm daily. Looking for a truly magical day out? Visit in May or June to witness the hatching of fluffy Cygnets and see them taking their first steps. Visitors can also see the fascinating annual wing moult.
Abbotsbury Swannery is the only managed colony of Mute Swans in the world, a haven for these stunning creatures. The Swannery also collects essential data on the swans and visiting birds.

Returning for 2025, the Brambly Hedge Trail takes young guests on a journey through the pages of the Summer Story book. Winding through the Swannery grounds, the trail is the perfect family activity with stamp points, trivia and fun facts. Refuel at the Café with a selection of tasty food and drink as well as colouring sheets for kids to enjoy.
Swans are not the only highlight of Abbotsbury Swannery with a living willow swan maze, shaped like a swan and bursting with fun activities, pedal go-karts (weather permitting), a play area, wildflower meadows as well as a beautiful gift shop and Café.
