Tots’ Days out in Dorset – it’s a toddle!

Days out in Dorset with toddlers in tow are great fun, but take a bit of planning.

That’s why Jess from the Visit Dorset team has listed her top picks for fun, toddler-friendly days out in Dorset.

And in her blog Tot-Tastic Days Out in Dorset it’s great to see that lots of Best of Dorset Attractions members get a mention!

Go down on the Farm!

“Few Dorset attractions have as much to offer the preschool family as Farmer Palmers,” says Jess.

“You’re guaranteed to have hours upon hours of fun here with a packed timetable of activities such as guinea pig petting and tractor rides and plenty of toddler-tastic play areas like soft play, sand pits and bouncy castles.”

Ride a steam train

Jess recommends a ride on a steam train at the Swanage Railway! “What toddler wouldn’t giggle with glee at the thought of riding on a real life Thomas the Tank Engine?”

She also suggests another family favourite where there’s plenty of choice on how to spend your day at Moors Valley.

Take to the trees without the need for a harness at Go Ape’s newest ‘Nets Adventure’.Enjoy the revamped High Wire Forest Adventures and choose your level: TreeTop Adventure, TreeTop Adventure+ or TreeTop Challenge.

Discover a dinosaur

“Exploring a museum is always great fun and if your little pre-schooler is dinosaur mad, their eyes will pop out of their heads at the Dinosaur Museum in Dorchester, adds Jess.
