Alices Everywhere At Adventure Wonderland!

Alices everywhere at Adventure Wonderland!

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of Adventure Wonderland.

More than 50 local actresses have played the iconic role of ‘Alice’. Adventure Wonderland reunited those actresses for a special ‘Alice Day’ party.

Over the past 30 years, the park has entertained more than a million guests with their unique combination of outdoor rides, indoor play and resident character entertainment.

Originally opening as the ‘Alice in Wonderland Park’, guests have always been greeted by Lewis Carroll’s storybook stars. Over the years, the park has grown and evolved into the Family Theme Park it is today.

“The characters here have always been a hugely loved aspect of the entertainment we provide,” says Lucy Lucas-Rowe, Adventure Wonderland’s director. “We never imagined when we planted the Alice in Wonderland maze from thousands of beech trees in 1991 that we would still be here 30 years later.”  “Families who visited as children in the 1990’s are now bringing their own children for days out which is so lovely to hear.”

“We wanted to celebrate the event by bringing back all of our previous Alice actresses,” says Andy Brennan, Entertainments Manager for Adventure Wonderland. “It was quite the mission to track everyone down but the response has been incredible. Alices have travelled from all over the country to join the fun!”

A brand new show at Adventure Wonderland

The Alices were treated to a preview performance of Adventure Wonderland’s brand new show, ‘Mr Rabbit’s Big Party!’

“We’re also celebrating the lifting of restrictions for inside performances,” continues Andy. “We’re so excited to be back on stage in our Happydrome Theatre. Guests are going to love joining the fun at ‘Mr Rabbit’s Big Party! This year we have also added a crazy golf course to our range of rides and attractions.”

Says Lucy, “I am very proud, especially given the difficulties we experienced last year with the pandemic that we are still a thriving local business, delivering family fun to locals and holidaymakers alike. Here’s to the next 30 years!”
