Castle Quiz and garden trail for childen

Children can take our Castle Quiz and  enjoy our garden trail.

New for 2021 is a family museum displaying family curios such as Lord Digby’s false teeth and artefacts from the civil war.

A film about our Fossil House is on show.

Bring your dog!

Bring your dog and explore our garden.  High summer colour is abundant in the herbaceous borders.

Find garden features including: a fossil house, cascade, Raleigh’s seat, a folly and boathouse pier.

Take our Candide Audio App Tour of the garden and discover about plants, ‘Capability’ Brown and the gardens’ rich history.

Enjoy a cream tea in the tearoom

Our tearoom serves coffee hand-roasted on the Estate, locally sourced fare, Purbeck ice creams,  and our very own Sherborne Castle Wines.  A west country cream tea is not to be missed.

Please pop into the Gift Shop and grab some unusual gifts made on the Estate including artisan hand- made pottery made by Anna Stiles, our own Antler Dog Chews and books written by local authors.

We are centrally located for a safe family and friends meet-up.  Go on – you deserve a big day out and a warm welcome awaits you. Best wishes from The Wingfield Digby Family
